TTCRD challenge blog 21st June sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps

Hello and welcome to another post for the Through the Craft Room Door challenge blog (TTCRD) which is sponsored this time by All Dressed Up

For this challenge I have used the image Little Scottie Dog.

I printed the image to A5 size and then coloured the image in before trimming.

The image is coloured using a few different brands of alcohol markers and some fine liners. To add a little more dimension I have used some green pearls and some green glitter just to make a feature of the flowers.

Once this was finished I trimmed around the image (I just do it until it looks tidy) and then I mounted on some green card trimming it using gaps on the paper trimmer so it makes it small and even.

The base card is 7×7 and I used some 12×12 heavyweight paper that I found in my stash with lovely bones on it and some doggy related words which you may just be able to make out on the image. What was left of the paper I set aside. I mounted my image a little offset and then made some rosettes from the left over paper just to add a little more dimension.

I am pleased with the final result and I really hope that you like this weeks make.

TTCRD DT blog post – May 24th 2022

I am so embarrassed that I have not been able to post for a while but simply life got in the way and I didn’t realise by how much life had got in the way. I am back now and blogging the project for this month.

This time we are sponsored by DRS Designs and I have used Violet Teacup and Birthday Wishes to make my card.

I have started a colouring class online and even though I have just begun it already my colouring seems much better and I am very happy the way this particular colouring look now that I have finished it. I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol pens and also some Ink Lily ones, here and there. (I have had the Ink Lily ones a long time and I have to say I am not exactly impressed by them so I will use them up and go back to Spectrum Noir).

The background paper is some from my stash (which I am intending to use up as much of as I can). It seemed to suit the design and I really wanted something with a hint of yellow as I felt hello would look nicer). Apart from that I have kept it very simple in design.

JMC Designs for TTCRD challenge blog – March 1st 2022

Hello again and welcome to another challenge blog post for my challenge blog Through The Craft Room Door and this time we are sponsored by the fabulous JMC Designs. I personally love the designs and the colours on the papers you can also buy and I do have some of the stamps myself and backing papers. Inspiring such a colourful design when you make them.

My design is the stamp Mixed Media Maggie from the Craftella’s collection. I also have the backing paper for this design. I used watercolour pencils to colour this image and embellished with some buttons from my stash. The backing paper is so bright and cheerful and adds to the design. It looks like I have done a lot of work but I have just stamped and coloured in and the backing paper makes it look like I have done a lot of work.

Through the Craft Room Door – 1st February 2022 challenge.

just a few days late posting my own blog update.

This time we are sponsored by Dr Digi’s House of Stamps and I have chosen to use the image Three Girls One Mic.

I decided to simplify the presentation of the card as I wanted the background to be popping out. This holographic card is from my stash. I coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol ink but I noticed there was some necklaces around the girls. I had been making some crystal art cards and had plenty of mini gems left over so I chose some sparkly ones and added them to the necklaces. I also added some clear sparkle Spectrum Noir Glitter pen to the black gloves to make them sparkle.

Happy New Year

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

Yes it has been a while, but unfortunately I was sidelined by illness from the end of November and I haven’t crafted for a while as a consequence. However it is a new year and I hope this one goes smoothly.

I am still the owner of Through The Craft Room Door, our challenges this year have had to go fortnightly because of a diminishing number of sponsors available. It is very sad but I think it has been inevitable. So my first post this year is a for our first challenge of 2022.

Our first challenge is sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps. The image I have used is called Pitter Patter Raindrops.

The weather is so gloomy right now so I went bold and bright with my colouring(Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers) and added some gems for the raindrops.

The paper I have used is from my stash. I am determined to stash bust this year as I have so many lovely papers that I can use. I used the reverse of the paper to mount the image on, reversing the die (Dreamees) that I have used to highlight the image. The ribbon is made of two colours and I thought the bows would look a little different on the image.

I have used 7×7 Kraft card for my card base.
