Today I am sharing a card which I made for a really good friend of mine overseas. Male cards are really hard to make but in this instance I was sending it to someone who plays guitar so I knew I could make very good use of my Guitar die by Tattered Lace.
This card is one of the simplest to make but I think its one of the most effective.
I used a card measuring 17.3cm by 17.3cm for my base card. Then I cut out 3 mats in the following sizes and colours and layered them up.
1 x black measuring 17cm x 17cm
1 x silver measuring 16.8cm x 16.8 cm
1 x black measuring 16.6cm x 16.6cm
Using pieces of the silver card I’d cut off to make the mat and some which I already had, I die cut 6 guitars. Three I used for the lower portion of the card and the remaining 3 I snipped to produced the heart shape which went above each of the guitars.
To finish the design off, and you can only actually see it when you look at the card in person I used my clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle and just covered the black card which showed through the guitar, as it needed something but nothing too heavy.
Thank you for stopping by and I’ll catch up with you soon
